Congrats to the JV team for their 11-8 come back win over SJV. Andrew Gendi, Jack Sassa, and Sal Cassano each collected 2 hits to lead the Husky offense. Cassano also stole 3 of the Huskies 8 bases. Matawan scored 5 runs in the top of the 6th. The Huskies are now 6-1.

The Husky JV team has begun the year on a high note.

The Huskies have beaten Holmdel, Freehold Boro 2x and Red Bank 2x. These have been total team efforts as many players have contributed to the 5 victories in 6 games.

Keep up the good job !

Matawan wins 14-4 over Red Bank behind the strong pitching of Mike Caldon and offensive prowess of Dom Salot, Eli Gries-Smith and Luke Elliott.

Caldon threw 5 strong innings holding RBR hitters off balance in every inning. Caldon struck 8, walked 0 and allowed 2 earned runs.

The matawan offense was balanced:

Brigandi 2 hits & 3 RBI. Salot 3 hits & 5 rbi. Eli Gries-Smith had 2 hits. Luke Elliott 3 hits 3 runs 2 rbi

The Huskies are now 6-1 and 4-0 in division with plenty of games in the next 10 days!
