Jay Kalieta scored 4 times and stole 2 bases as Danny Hirujo, Chris Gendi, Richie Olsen and Derek Jordan each collected 2 hits. Timmy Egan struck out the side in the 5th to end the day. The story was Olsen who won the game 1 MVP honor.
